Comic Books and Improv

Long form improv often escapes explanation. It is difficult to convey the full idea of what a show is without demonstrating it.

Cousin Bob: Do some of your routine for us.
Us: Well, we really don’t have a “routine”, per se.
Cousin Bob: What do you do then?
Us: Have you seen that show, “Who’s Line...”? Well, it’s kinda like that, but not really. blah blah blah....

Often You have to see it to really understand what it is. And seeing a video of a show is absolutely nothing like being there. That’s part of the beauty of it. It is an experience. My guess is that reading a comic book of a show is nothing like being there either. But maybe it’s entertaining anyway.
